Privacy and cookies

A short policy, because this is a one-person business that collects very little.

Privacy

What I collect

  • Your name, email address, phone number and message when you contact me.
  • What you tell me while we plan a ceremony, including details about your family, which can be very personal indeed.
  • Anonymous, aggregate visit counts for this website. No cookies, no tracking across other sites, no profile of you.

What I use it for

  • Replying to you and arranging your ceremony.
  • Writing the ceremony itself, which is the whole point of the information you give me.
  • Meeting my legal, tax and insurance obligations.

What I never do

  • I do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone.
  • I do not add you to a mailing list.
  • I do not quote you, name you or use your photographs anywhere without asking you first, in writing, for that specific use.

How long I keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after twelve months.
  • Ceremony scripts and notes are kept for six years, because families often come back for a copy, and then deleted.
  • Financial records are kept for as long as HMRC requires.

Your rights

  • You can ask to see, correct or delete anything I hold about you, and I will do it.
  • Email hello@nellharding.co.uk and I will reply within a few days.
  • If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

Why there is no cookie banner

  • This site sets no tracking cookies and no advertising cookies, so there is nothing for you to consent to.
  • Visit counting is self-hosted and cookie-free. It counts page views in aggregate and does not follow you anywhere else.
  • One setting is stored in your browser to remember whether you chose light or dark mode. It stays on your device.

Third parties

  • There are no advertising networks on this site.
  • If a page ever embeds a map or a video, that provider may set its own cookies under its own policy.
